Vision: A Smart Farm in Regional Victoria

The 20 acres Raglan Smart Farm is designed as a living prototype for next-generation sustainable farming — blending regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, remote technologies, and immersive eco-tourism experiences. Set in the scenic Pyrenees region, the project celebrates nature, innovation, and community spirit, serving as both a productive farm and a destination for learning, creativity, and inspiration.

Core Objectives:

  • Achieve near-zero waste through solar, biogas, water recycling, and integrated animal systems.
  • Operate largely remotely via sensors, cameras, and robotic assistance.
  • Build a learning and tourism destination where people experience sustainability firsthand.
  • Generate multiple income streams: food, energy, accommodation, experiences, and online media.
  • Educate and inspire others to live self-sufficiently.

According to the Pyrenees Shire Local Action Plan, total visitor spending is projected to reach $72.6 million by 2033, with tourism increasing from 223,000 to 320,000 visitors — creating a strong foundation for sustainable agri-tourism growth.

Key Design Principles:

  • Smart Operations: 24/7 remote monitoring through internet and intranet systems. Cameras, Telescopes, Connections to Social Platforms.
  • Energy Independence: On-site biogas, solar and other renewable energy generations.
  • Water Security: Rainwater harvesting and efficient drip irrigation.
  • Income Streams: seasonal herbs, flowers, vegetables, animals, fish, long-term trees, eco-rentals, night light shows, tourism, renewable energy, and remote rover gaming.
  • Biodiversity: Integration of fish, bees, and livestock to balance ecology.
  • Eco-Tourism: 2 futuristic domes - future short-term rentals. Can't we build these domes locally?
  • Zero-Waste Cycle: All organic waste converted into biogas and compost.
  • Creative Technology: Remote rover games, live streams, and night-sky events.
  • Education & Community: Showcase model for schools, visitors, and regional innovation.[Postponed indefinitely until long-term sustainability is achieved and safe, controlled operations can be guaranteed.]
  • At the heart of the Raglan Smart Farm stands the Central Hub — The Head Office of Roar Forever —an energy-efficient operations base with biogas and power systems, a welcoming reception, workspaces, and a Roar Forever merch store for visitors to take a piece of the farm home.
